Boat Building STEM/Wildcraft (2hr drop off session)

$50.00

Do you have a little wildling between the ages of 8-13yrs who loves being outdoors, working with their hands *and* all things STEM? At Wild Clover Kids we know that it doesn’t have to be one or the other, so we combined them!

This fun-filled 2hr workshop (drop off) is run by our resident physics wiz Dr. Valdis Blums, who has worked in the physics and optics education world for nearly a decade. Having grown up on a small hobby farm in Carbrook, he’s also learned a thing or about wildcrafting in his time too! In this session, your child will learn:

  • How to craft a mini-raft using natural materials ♻️
  • Creating and safely using hand tools (hand drill, bow drill) 🛠️
  • Using the remote control motor and propellors to drive your boat in an actual lake 🚤

Where: Mount Cotton Community Park

When: Monday, January 13th 2025, 9.30-11.30am

All materials supplied.
